Founding A Safe Place to Heal in 2005 has given me the opportunity to serve the diverse needs of the Christian Community in the Bay Area. It is important for you to know that I welcome all people to a safe environment that is focused, quiet and confidential. I serve an array of people who hold many different beliefs, have a wide variety of relationships and family configurations. I have been counseling in the Oakland area since 1995. I have also worked as a parish pastor both in Arizona and California from 1984 to 2012. I am an adjuct faculty member at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, teaching classes in both Pastoral Care and Pastoral Leadership.

1994 Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary
